PeepCon 2.0: The Philippines’ Premier Search Marketing Conference

This year’s PeepCon became a venue for experts to share their knowledge in various topics and provide digital marketing enthusiasts in the country a learning experience from top brass professionals, with Mike King, Dan Petrovic, and Jon Cooper, joining local SEO giants like Jason Acidre and Glen Dimaandal.

Each of the guests imparted their knowledge and expertise among the local attendees who showed enthusiasm by listening and taking down notes, based on the subject matter discussed by the speakers.

In between the discussions were hefty meals and snacks prepared by the organizers, as well as intermissions from the sponsors such as TrueLogic, SEO Hacker, Siteoscope, Armongatus, PruLife UK, and GrowthScout SEO.

An Event for a Cause

This year’s PeepCon is a special and meaningful one as part of the proceeds of the event will benefit SEO professionals who need financial assistance.

Indeed, it wasn’t just a showcase of knowledge and expertise as this year’s beneficiaries include the child of Carrina “Caye” Canlas, a former manager at Xight Interactive who died due to Cancer, and Gary Lacanilao, a Lead Generation and Marketing Development Consultant who is considered as “one of the 10 brightest SEO minds in the country”, according to Sir Glen Dimaandal. Currently, Gary is bravely battling stage 4 cancer.

A First for GrowthScout SEO

PeepCon 2016 is the first digital marketing event that GrowthScout SEO formally participated in as a company.

GrowthScout  took the opportunity to become one of the event’s sponsors, as the conference is in line with the company’s mission to give off a part of its profit to charity.

The GrowthScout team had a wonderful time planning and preparing for the conference, and made sure that everything was in place. The team put up a booth and prepared a game that anyone can join.

The game “Can You Guess How Many Jellybeans are in the Jar?” proved to be an exciting “ice-breaker” that poked the curiosity of many. A lot of people lined up in our booth to register and try their luck in the game.

An Acer Iconia tablet was at stake, which added to the excitement of registrants. We enjoyed watching the participants as they seriously assess the jar of jellybeans and came up with their own formulas to make the right guess.

Before the conference ended, the lucky recipient of the Acer Iconia tablet was announced.

Overall, PeepCon 2.0 was a fruitful and successful event. It is the first of many digital marketing events that the GrowthScout SEO team plans to become a part of, and we can’t wait for the next one! Special thanks to Sir Glen Dimaandal who gave us the privilege to become one of the event’s sponsors.

‘Til next time!
